Volunteers

Share your skills, gain new ones

There are many ways you can kick-start your adventure, as a young person, parent or adult volunteer. Our volunteers get involved on their terms and not all roles involve working with young people. If you can give a little time (or a lot) to help improve young lives in your community, we’d love to hear from you.

Week by week, volunteers empower thousands of young people to learn new skills, make new friends and stand on their own two feet. They’re our everyday heroes. They shape young people’s lives for the better, and find out a whole lot about themselves in the process, too.

Today, there are nearly 60,000 young people on the waiting list to join us in the UK. We’re more relevant and more needed than ever, but it’s not always easy to keep up with the demand.

There’s lot’s of ways you as a parent can be involved and support your child’s development without becoming a leader. For example helping out on a parent rota, being a trustee, driving a minibus, helping with maintenance or many other tasks!

That’s where you come in.

The opportunities to volunteer with us are flexible. Think of something you’d like to do and chances are it’s just what we require. Just fill in the simple form to start your volunteering journey…
