The Cub Pack and the Scout Troop were the original two sections when the former Pulloxhill Scout Group started up in the early 80's. For most of its existence it met in Pulloxhill Church Hall, which due to the size of the hall rather limited the numbers that could be taken, but it has expanded since the move to Maulden. In January 2003, the Cub pack divided into two new packs named Moles and Badgers to cater for the rising demand. The Cub Scout Law

Cub Scouts is the first real step on the Scouting path, with most Scouting activities possible, and usually a weekend camp during the summer term at another Scout site in the Herts/Beds/Bucks area. The Scout section has some activities during the year to which the older Cubs (Sixers and Seconders) are invited as an introduction to the Scout Troop, to get to know the other Scouts and the leaders and to make the transition between sections easier. Whilst Cubs cover most Scouting activities, these are geared appropriate to the age group, so that we don't have 10 year olds moving up to the Scout section who are virtually "burnt out", having been there, done it, and got the T-shirt, which can result in them dropping out and missing out on a lot in their early teens. For suppliers, see the equipment suppliers section of the Group Guide Moles pack meet at the Maulden HQ from 1830-2000 Tuesdays, and Badgers from 1830-2000 on Wednesdays, both during state school term time unless arranged otherwise beforehand. Details of membership subscriptions can be found in the Financial section of the Group Guide For full details of the various Cub Badges and the requirements for attaining them, go to: which is the official web site of the UK Scout Association. The site contains an enormous amount of information about Scouting in the UK, together with links to other UK sites (like this one), and world-wide to the 148 countries where Scouting is active. We don't normally put details of badges etc on this site because the library at the Scoutbase site will always have the most up-to-date information, but we have put the requirements for the new staged Swimmers activity badge at Swimmers Badges, as it is a regularly used one by all sections.
